Wednesday 13 November 2013, 6.30pm
The Mayor’s Parlour, Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomew Square, Brighton BN1 1JA
Mardi Roberts of Ridgeview, near Ditchling, will be presenting four of their renowned Sussex sparkling wines, which over the past few years have been rated by industry colleagues and the drinks media as leaders in their field not only here in the UK but also globally, regularly beating wines from the Champagne region.
The wines will be accompanied by canapés introduced by Olivia Reid and specifically created by the chefs at Terre a Terre to create a perfect match. Terre á Terre has enjoyed national and international acclaim with a hugely creative, and often indulgent, vegetarian menu that guarantees to intrigue the eye and excite the tastebuds. Winner of the Observer Food Awards and the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Awards ‘Restaurant of the Year’ 2013, critic A.A. Gill’s review in the Sunday Times exclaimed: “This is most probably the best vegetarian restaurant in Britain, but it’s also better than that ghetto accolade. It is singularly and eccentrically marvellous…”
This prestigious one-off event will be hosted by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Denise Cobb, and is presented in conjunction with the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival CIC, in support of the Mayor’s Charities (Argus Appeal, Age UK, The Martlets Hospice, Off The Fence, and Rockinghorse Children’s Charity).
