Brighton Gin launches the 350ml bottle, retailing at £22, its the latest addition and is filled, waxed and labelled by hand (as indeed all the bottles are) and is the perfect gift inspiration for those looking for a more generous measure than the hugely popular stocking-filler miniatures which at 50ml retail at around £5.
The Brighton Gin half bottles are also pitched as an entry level super-premium craft gin for new gin converts buying into a trend that shows no sign of slowing, as well as those keen to trial the host of gin-based cocktails now driving a global ‘ginnaissance’. Brighton Gin have also released a number of autumn/winter cocktails including a Mulled Gin and the Apple and Blackberry Crumble – the Ginble – underlining that gin is for Christmas and not just for summer.
Brighton Gin half bottles will be on sale from local independent retailers in the Brighton area from the 30th October.
Distilled beside the seaside and handmade from 100% organic grain spirit, juniper, fresh orange and lime peel, locally-grown coriander seed and milk thistle. Every single bottle, half bottle and miniature is filled, labelled and wax sealed by hand, the distinctive blue/green colour being that of Brighton’s famous seafront railings.
Voted the UK’s best gin in the 2017 People’s Drinks awards, Brighton Gin is smooth, gentle and approachable and is mellow enough to be sipped neat over ice. It is particularly delicious as part of a classic G&T, served with a fine tonic and a slice of orange – the better to bring out the citrus botanicals – and works brilliantly in a Martini, a Negroni and a French 75 (or a Sussex 75 using your favourite Sussex sparkling wine in lieu of champagne).
Locals also often drink it as a unique Brighton Gin Rocktail – with tonic, ice and a chunk of Brighton rock.
The primary packaging supplier for the new 350ml bottle was Croxsons who worked with them on their original 700ml bottles and miniatures and were the clear choice.
