Brighton Farmers Market stallholders for Saturday 18 May

The Brighton Farmers Market returns to the heart of the city on Saturday 18 May from 10am – 4pm. Running every third Saturday of the month on Memorial Way, alongside the War Memorial on Old Steine, the market – run by the food festival team – offers accessible and affordable fresh produce from Sussex growers and producers.

We’re welcoming some new stallholders this month, including Finders Eaters selling preserves and chutneys made from some foraged ingredients and the famous Cocoa Loco organic chocolate company from West Grinstead. We’ve also got Jems Fresh Fish from Newhaven, selling a good selection of locally caught fish and seafood.

This is our second monthly market, and with a possible 34 pitches there are still opportunities for Sussex-based growers and producers to register their interest via the festival website here. We’re particularly looking for a local butcher to join the market line-up.

The market is also supporting the festival’s charitable partners with pitches at events, and over the summer months there will be additional hands-on activities around planting, food preparation and children’s workshops. This month we’re working with our charity partner Rockinghorse – the official fundraising arm of the local children’s hospital – with cupcake decorating and seed planting workshops.

The Brighton Farmers Market complements the weekly farmers market at Churchill Square, running every Wednesday 10am – 4pm.
