Hosted in conjunction with Nivarata festival of granita and Boho Gelato, with support from Blackdown Artisan Spirits, Butlers Wine Cellar and Deli Deli Deli.
Join us on Hove Lawns for A Taste of Sicily and discover more about the amazing gastronomy and culture of this beautiful Mediterranean island. This year we’ve partnered the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival with the Nivarata festival of granita in Acireale, Sicily, and we’ll be tasting wines grown on the slopes of volcanic Mount Etna, alongside artisan cheese, charcuterie and traditional foods such as caponata, arancini and cannoli. The stars of our show will be Brighton’s Seb Cole and Acireale’s Nicola Scaccianoce who together will be making both traditional and experimental granitas – frozen water, sugar and fresh ingredients such as almond, pistachio, chocolate and fruit – live on stage. An evening of food and fun with our festival friends from Italy!
