Brighton businesses rise to the Mayor’s challenge and raise over £1,180 for charity

Friday 4th April 2014 Brighton & Hove Mayors Charity Challenge Day, East Sussex, UKBusiness leaders have stepped on the gas to raise £1,180 for a mayor’s favourite charities.
 
The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Denise Cobb, handed out medals to teams from Domestic and General, Meerkat Works, Mishon Mackay, Dental Health Spa, Prime Care, the Kitchen Store, The Treatment Rooms and Capital Staff at the Mayor’s Challenge Day.
 
The event was organised by Red7 in Kensington Street, Brighton, alongside Midnight Communications, The Brighton and Hove Bus Company and the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival.
 
The money will be donated to The Argus Appeal, AgeUK, Martlets Hospice, Off the Fence and Rockinghorse.
 
Ian Lucas, boss at Red7, said: “We were delighted to get into the driving seat to help raise funds for the Mayor’s charities. This was a full-on day featuring go karting, an assault course, archery and shooting, among other activities. It was great fun with a serious purpose and everyone who took part was a winner.”
